Summary
Our Medical Office in Monterey Park, CA (San Gabriel Valley Region) is searching for a healthcare professional (MD, NP or PA) to expand our role in delivering health care services in our Family practice, pediatric and after hour care.
Successful candidates must be licensed to practice in California
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include (but not limited to):
Evaluate and treat acute conditions in adult and pediatric patients.
Conduct physical examinations or assessments to determine the medical condition of patients and if medical services are required
Collaborate with staff, physicians, and other health professionals to prepare patient care as necessary Evaluate patient?s health history and maintain, update, and assess EMR records of patient
Perform and interpret diagnostic tests, diagnose and treat common conditions in the primary care discipline; provide screenings, interventions, education materials or programs for patient treatment; prescribe or recommend medications as needed to patients
Use Evidence Based Practice Guidelines to assist with disease management.
Assures quality of care for all patients and ensure that they are provided the appropriate services for their treatment or to meet their goals.
Adheres to highest standard of medical ethics and compliance with the policies, procedures, and federal rules regarding HIPAA, Medicare, Medicaid programs, and reporting.
Comply with safety policies and procedures for events such as emergencies, including infection control rules and regulations.
Demonstrate cultural competency in diverse cultures and ethnic groups of the community, their beliefs, practices, and behavior in regards to health, being able to speak more than one language is helpful
Participate in the quality improvement process, which may include attending meetings, evaluating data and audits.
Requirements:
Current License in the State of California
DEA
Caring, compassionate, Positive, Friendly, and enjoys working with people and patients of different backgrounds
Bilingual in Mandarin and/or Cantonese preferred. If you speak other languages (Vietnamese, Spanish, etc.), please indicate on your resume.
