Our M&A practice, which is a joint venture with Deloitte Tax LLP, is comprised of professionals who are dedicated exclusively to M&A activities. M&A transactions are among the more complex activities a business can undertake. We work with both private equity investors and corporate strategic buyers with the full range of deal execution issues, including due diligence, tax and accounting structuring, merger integration and post-transaction considerations. Our multi-disciplinary approach combines M&A, industry and other function specialists to provide fact-based answers and objective feedback geared to minimizing risk and increasing returns.

&#xxxx; Portfolio Company Services
Responsibilities:
&#xxxx; Demonstrate an ability to identify and evaluate business, industry, financial, accounting to tax risk related transactions
&#xxxx; Play substantive/lead role in client relationship and communication
&#xxxx; Play substantive/lead role in attaining quality internal and external communication deliverables including technical content of reports, proposals, etc.
&#xxxx; Demonstrate high level of understanding of client&#xxxx;s business
&#xxxx; Demonstrate strong knowledge of industry or functional specialty
&#xxxx; Play substantive/lead role in engagement planning, economics, and billing
&#xxxx; Deliver services that meet Deloitte & Touche&#xxxx;s engagement leader specifications
&#xxxx; Membership and visibility in professional & civic organizations
&#xxxx; Participate in proposal development efforts
&#xxxx; Evaluate, counsel, mentor, and provide feedback on performance of others
&#xxxx; Assist in retention of Deloitte & Touche&#xxxx;s professionals
&#xxxx; Provide opportunity to further develop strong proficiency in decision making with the appropriate level of research and consultation
&#xxxx; Play substantive role in enhancing relationships with internal resources

BA/BS in Accounting
Experience serving clients in the Life Sciences and/Healthcare industries
MA/MBA a plus but not required, unless BA/BS is not in Accounting
5 years related US GAAP experience
CPA, CA certification is a plus
Willingness and ability to accomodate unpredictable and last minute travel, 30-40%
