I personally, have always struggled with playing piano fluently. I studied in college. I always understood the theory, but the mechanics always escaped me. There's nothing better than being at a party where someone has a piano and being able to just start hammering out a song that everyone loves. Or even in my own work, as a songwriter, being able to accompany myself on piano would be amazing.
I played a little bit.  Enough to write my songs, but I always knew if I could master piano, it would bring my writing to a whole new level.  So I finally decided, enough. I need to buckle down and focus on improving my piano skills.
