Still thinning out my collection. This is an original xxxx Gibson Les Paul Gold Top with her original hard shell case. Her serial number is 891###, and visible pot codes xxxx934 date to the thirty-fourth week of xxxx. She plays as good as she looks, fast low action on an old refret with plenty of life still left in them. She sounds amazing, her P90's give that wonderful "old wood" tone that you usually only get with the earlier '50's Les Paul Gold Tops. She has plenty of power, sustain and harmonics when you crank her up, and a wonderful woody mellow tone when you roll back the volume. She has developed a lovely vintage patina and finish-checking all over, and her bindings have aged to a soft creamy-yellow. She has the usual dents, dings and playwear that you'd expect for her age, fittings have normal ageing and wear, Kluson Deluxe tuners work just fine, and her original case is in extremely good condition with all latches working.
