Regrettably my YBS-62 is for sale as my circumstances have changed. The instrument was purchased new from Crowther's of Canterbury about five years ago, where it has been serviced during its life, most recently last week.
The sax has been used for approximately one hour a week on average and hardly at all in the last two years, and is in excellent condition with only minor scratching in the usual area on the side in contact with the player and the chair. I've attempted to show this scratching in the photographs. I was going to say no dents or dings, but close inspection in the right light today revealed a tiny ding I?d never noticed, again on the player?s chair side. I don?t even think you can see it on the photos. The lacquer is perfect apart from one small area on the thumb octave key which is clearly visible in the photo of that area.
Includes a Konig and Meyer tripod stand for the instrument, but unfortunately it won't fit in the case so I will have to mail it seperately. The case is in very good condition. I've probably got the keys for it somewhere. Original unused Yamaha mouthpiece and ligature are included. Yamaha strap is also unused. Owner?s manual, polishing cloth and cork grease are included.
There are plenty of reviews of the instrument available out there. If you are looking at this auction you probably know a lot about this instrument and its reputation already. The awesome low A and the fabulous mechanism to operate it will be my lasting memories of this instrument. An absolute delight to play, it's a real heavyweight.
