LTSC CDC's Property Management division manages 16 properties throughout Los Angeles county with a commitment to providing affordable and quality housing to support healthy families and communities.
We are looking for a Compliance Specialist that is committed to the affordable housing industry and to supporting low-income families. The Compliance Specialist will report to the Assistant Director of Property Management and be responsible for regular regulatory reporting, coordinating annual recertifications, reviewing move-in certifications, internal file reviews, and training, Staff will also be responsible for system administration of property management software system (Bostonpost).
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Submit required regulatory reporting to various government and private entities including CTCAC, HUD, HCID, UFI, HCD, CalHFA, etc.
Coordinate accurate and appropriate rent increases for all properties
Provide support for HAP processing
Work with Resident Managers and Property Supervisors to assure compliance annual recertification requirements
Review all move-in certifications
Conduct internal file reviews of all properties
Develop and deliver regular training on relevant compliance issues
Provide individual training, trouble-shooting, and support to Resident Managers for compliance and property management software use
Act as primary liaison with property management software company on new property implementation, help desk issues, and compliance questions
Analysis and reporting of key performance metrics related to department including resident demographics, maintenance, as well as leasing and occupancy
Provide flexible support to Property Supervisors and executive management as needed
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Associates degree in a related area with two years affordable housing compliance experience
Bachelor's degree in a related area preferred with three years relevant experience
Affordable housing certification preferred
Excellent interpersonal skills including ability to work on a diverse team and with linguistically, culturally diverse customers
Proven experience with property management software and strong overall computer skills (i.e. Word, Excel, Google mail and documents)
Experience working with community agencies and various funding sources preferred
Ability to train staff on a regular basis
Able to work independently and with general instructions.
