Due to our rapid growth and current expansion plans we are in need of a seasoned controller to help us get to the next level. We need a roll up your sleeves, get the job done Controller who doesnt mind working in jeans and being part of a collaborative team environment.Requirements:We are seeking an experienced Controller responsible for the development, management and reporting of the organizations financial performance. You must have experience working as a Controller/CFO for a consumer products company with a track record of selling to major retailers in the country, and fast and aggressive sales growth. experience This individual will develop strategies and tactical initiatives to ensure the organization meets its business objectives and maximizes profitability. Advises the executive management on long and short term fiscal issues to support the successful growth and operation of the organization.Primary responsibilities:-Provide financial leadership and counsel in decision making process to ensure attainment of company financial goals.-Conducts month:end closing activities; post entries into A/R, A/P, Payroll and Inventory systems in systems such as SAP or Microsoft Dynamics and ensures the accuracy and timeliness of closing, including providing reports, analysis, and variance explanations.-Compile information to prepare for annual CPA reviews, year:end audit and tax filings-Lead the annual budgeting, forecast and planning process for the organization. Ensures the highest possible degree of accuracy of budgets, forecasts, estimates, revenue and expense recognition and financial reporting-Provide incisive, actionable financial analysis and robust financial controls to support near and long:term business plans on both a routine and special project basis to executive management.-Ability to interpret and deliver complex financial data in clear, concise and usable formats to enable senior management-Prepare summaries and forecasts for future business growth.-Develop and initiate cost saving internal control and other activities to measurably improve financial performance.-Leads process improvement initiatives through the disciplined use of measurements, accountability, and analysis-Reviews product costs and ensures accurate Cost of Goods Sold (CGS) data-Assist executive management in compiling and completing projects that are financial in nature.-Serves as liaison with banking institutions regarding credit management issues.-Ability to maintain the strictest confidentiality regarding sensitive financial and business informationQualification:-Minimum of a Bachelors degree in finance/accounting/business, or equivalent education and/or experience preferably in import:distribution industry.-7:10 years of relevant financial and cost accounting management experience.-Understands the technical details of accounting :: accruals, prepayments, journal entries. Sound knowledge of double entry accounting work-Capable of working independently to pass entries into A/R, A/P, Payroll and Inventory systems in SAP or Microsoft Dynamics and other General Ledger related work of journal entries, recurring entries and reconciliations.-Ability to interact with other accounting systems of Payroll, Banking and Inventory to ensure proper recordings are done.-Must possess excellent financial modeling skills (forecasting, statistical analysis, financial diagnosis).-Must have a strong understanding of ERP systems.-Ability to meet assigned deadlines, deliver accurate work, and thrive in a fast:paced working environment-Advanced skills in MS software package, including strong MS Excel skills-Solid interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment-Experience in a high volume merchandising company would be a plus.We are a EOE employer and encourage d
