Our client is a rapidly growing entrepreniual distribution companylocated in San Fernando Valley area, CA. They are growing and looking to hire a **ACCOUNTING MANAGER**to their team. This position reports directly to the COO/Controller, and is a hands on role directly running the day to day of the accounting department. The position pays up to $105k + bonus and offers great growth opportunity! Responsibilities Work with the Controller to ensure accurate and timely month-end close and proper documentation Assist the Controller in managing the daily accounting activities in accordance to GAAP Manage the recording of revenue recognition Work with business heads and FP&A to manage monthly accruals and operating costs Track inventory costs and fulfillment expense Ensure daily bank transactions are properly recorded and reconciled Support the Controller in continued process improvements related to general accounting and the close process Assist in analyzing and implementation of a controls framework Assist in internal&external reporting Manage staff through close process and daily inquiries Work closely with external auditors managing audit inquiries Responsible for special projects and one off request as they arise Responsibilities will grow/evolve with the business and accounting department needs Qualifications: 7+ years of progressive general ledger accounting experience CPA heavily preferred required Direct Search Alliance is a Search and Talent Consultancy with expertise placing Finance and Accounting Professionals and Executives, Financial Managers, Accounting Staff, Tax and Audit and Treasury talent across industries with well-known and fast-tracking companies; as well as Managers, Directors and Executives in Human Resources, Marketing, Sales, Operations and Business Support.
