I'm currently living with two roommates (one is moving out of state and the other is moving out of the county) and our lease is ending at the end of August so I'm looking for either a private room in an apt or house, a studio, a 1 bd apt or a guest house to move into by September 1. Long term preferably but open to short term also. About us: I'm a 36 yr old single mom of four school age children - kinder, 3rd, 5th, and 7th graders so being close to good schools would be a plus. Their bedtime is usually 8:30pm during school days. I have a steady yet low income coming in so I can only afford up to $600-900 including utilities. I'm currently in the pre-employment background check phase for a govt position so once I clear, my financial situation will improve. But until then, this is my reality and I'm hoping someone out there has what we're looking for. Maybe help each other out (another single mom perhaps?) and save some money in the process? I'm also open to some sort of work trade in exchange for discounted rent whether it be house work, clerical/admin work, caregiving, childcare, etc. Nothing sexual, that's just weird and creepy. I assure you though we're a pretty normal, laid back, happy little family. We mind our own business, rent paid on time, we clean up after ourselves, kids do chores and have manners (not raising entitled little brats). I don't smoke or do drugs. I rarely drink, last time was probably 3 mos ago. No overnight guests, no men coming and going. I'm really just focused on a new life for me and my kids.
