Job Description:
The role of the Content Programming Manager is to oversee the day:to:day management, strategy and execution for the programming of the content on a high profile special project (this will be shared during the interview), as well as act as the principal programmer of the content on the platform. Please note: this is a special project, but this position is to join the Pluto TV Team full:time, not as a limited term project. Major responsibilities include:Ensuring that content is being delivered in a timely manner from partnersEnsuring delivery of other assets such as metadata and artwork needed for the consumer:facing playlistsProgramming content in accordance with the established content refresh cycle and expected quality levelCommunicating with remote team on a daily basis to ensure on:time delivery of content playlistsResolving content supply chain issues, and acting as the point of contact for technical issues with the delivery system This individual will also manage the editorial calendar for programming and communicate directly with the Marketing team to plan and execute these plans. The Content Programming Manager may also need to coordinate with additional Content Curators to complete assignements. Overall, this role requires an individual with exceptional organizational skills, experience working on a creative team, and an editorial sense to provide opinions about programming choices as well as recommendations for future content ideas to both the Content Curators and the Marketing Department. Other expectations:Working from the Pluto TV HQ in Los Angeles, CA will be required for part of the work day (Monday:Friday)Early work days (starting at 8AM or earlier) will be required on some days as the remote team is located in Europe and you will need to be able to communicate with the during their working hours. You may work from home during early hours, or come into the office.You must have past experience working with content management systems. This job is all about managing content and publishing it.You must have knowledge of the digital content space, including but not limited to, big content creators and trends.
