Software Asset Management (SAM) Manager
The SAM Manager will be responsible for working with Deloitte&#xxxx;s clients to execute on projects to provide SAM program leadership and direction to ensure processes, policies, and procedures are in place to meet our client&#xxxx;s regulatory, operational, audit and reporting requirements. The SAM manager will lead project teams to help our clients develop and implement leading SAM practices, including designing and transforming existing SAM process to become industry leading organizations. Additionally the SAM Manager will provide program and project leadership, manage additional Deloitte sources, and be viewed as a subject matter expert in this space.
Key skills the SAM Manager will demonstrate:
Ability to develop and enhance methodologies, policies and practices for software asset life cycle management in line with best practice and practical experience as part of a cycle of continuous improvement and compliance
Ability to develop quality assurance practices and practices for the administration of software license contracts, maintenance and entitlements
Work with Client to advise the relevant project, program, infrastructure and application stakeholders on software licensing and compliance
Ability to identify current and emerging software asset life cycle trends
Deep knowledge of ISO xxxx0-1 and ITIL SAM Standards
Have a working knowledge of major SAM tools to assist our clients evaluating, selecting and implementing SAM tools. In addition, have an understanding of integration of data feeds from non-SAM-owned sources into SAM tools.
Have working knowledge of the major vendors software licensing practices, trends, and systems to advise our clients on the ideal course of action related to software license optimization.
Qualifications:
University or college degree in Business or Computer Science or related field.
6+ years in Professional Services, large IT organizations, IT sales
Excellent consultancy skills, including advising and negotiating skills
Innovative, initiator, catalyst and a holistic perspective on project deliver are essential qualities
Desirable knowledge of and experience with the application of IT management and business methods/techniques such as ITIL, ASL, BiSL, COBIT, ISPL, ISOxxxx0
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
