The Responsibilities for the Sr. Material Supply Lead are divided into three key areas: (1) The individual will be responsible for incoming material supply chains as a point of contact (POC) at the assigned site(s), based upon a pre:defined scope of commodities, franchises, and/or brands. (2) S/He will drive improvements in material reliability, customer fulfillment, supplier delivery performance, and responsiveness; and (3) The individual will own the operational resolution of emerging supply issues across the MSM network.
MSM Network Leadership
The Sr. Material Supply Lead will be responsible for all aspects of incoming material supply chains. He/She will be the point of contact (POC) for material supply chains at assigned sites. S/He will drive improvements in material reliability, customer fulfillment, supplier delivery performance and responsiveness and proactively identifies and mitigates potential service disruptions related to incoming material supply. The individual will support the development and implementation of assigned Sourcing strategies and owns the operational resolution of emerging supply issues across the MSM network. They will be required to identify problematic suppliers and works jointly with Strategic Sourcing to correct or exit. The individual will implement processes and procedures that continually improve material reliability and supplier responsiveness. S/He will establish, manage, and maintain key supplier relationships to drive issue resolution and performance management; participates in supplier selection efforts, as necessary or appropriate. The individual will lead communication and updates of material supply disruptions to impacted sites (internal and external) and key stakeholders. S/he will coordinate mitigation and resolution efforts.
S/he will use enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and other sources to mine critical data and lead objective, fact:based decision making. The individual will act as point of contact (POC) for the local MSM team, as necessary or assigned. S/he will supervise and mentor the departmental co:op, as assigned.
Incoming Materials Operational Excellence
The Sr. Material Supply Lead will be responsible for driving MOQ optimization and ordering process improvements to meet emerging business needs. This individual will partner with Strategic Sourcing to reduce lead times for critical supply chains and implement safety stock programs to improve responsiveness. The individual will apply LEAN principles and Process Excellence to deliver robust incoming material supply chains. S/he will lead discussions with key functional partners : Raw Material Center (RMC), Package Material Center (PMC), Quality, Support for Marketed Products (SMP), etc. : to drive resolution of out:of:specification materials, discontinued materials, and material feed stock changes. The Sr. Material Supply Lead will lead the SAP processes required to change pricing for RMs through c:Price, including inventory revaluation.
