Santa Monica Cozy Cottage This charming, hidden cottage is nestled right in South Santa Monica - just north of the border from Venice and 7 blocks to the beach (or a 12 minute walk). The Cottage was completely remodeled by us in xxxx, and it has comfortable amenities and appliances. The cottage comes with a most cherished amenity - an off-street parking space. You might even be able to fit two as long as the cars aren''t terribly large. It''s now the perfect getaway for the business traveler or leisure vacationer ... or anyone in between. We''re located 15 minutes (by car) from LAX, and 7 blocks from the beach, or 10 minutes (by foot). We''re a mile away from the Santa Monica pier and just across the street from a large, upscale supermarket (Gelson''s). Whole Foods is just up the street for you foodies. *Please note that we previously had communications issues with Flipkey that is reflected in a very low response rate. These issues have been fixed.* The lushly landscaped side yard leads up to a pergola patio area where lunches and dinners are free and easy. Santa Monica is the land of outdoor living, and this shaded area is a comfortable free-air living room. Inside, the cottage has new hard wood floors through out, with the exception of the marble in the bathroom. We''ve cathedral led the ceiling of the main room, and that has given the cottage an open and airy feeling. The house is equipped with Hi Speed Verizon FiOS to keep you connected to the world, and premium movies to keep you entertained. The kitchen is fully equipped (as any kitchen should be) with a serious gas stove, full-size late-model Samsung refrigerator, an energy efficient Bosch dishwashers, and a two-compartment porcelain sink. We''ve prepared many a meal here, and any cook won''t find themselves lacking. The living room boasts a 50" Samsung LED Television and in-wall surround sound. I''m a film person, so I designed the room to watch movies in the way I like. I''m pretty sure you''ll find the experience pleasing with the full complement of cable channels, including HBO. The master bedroom has a comfortable queen bed and large hanging closet. It''s a great place for a good night''s sleep. The second bedroom has a double bed and more closet space. It''s a perfect place for another couple or to stow the kids. That marbled bathroom has a tub for bathing, along with the usual amenities. The cottage comes with a cherished parking spot out back, and the property is fully gated off front the surrounding neighborhood - not that one needs to be, as the area''s quite safe. There''s a washer and dryer in the laundry hutch just outside the house, so you''ll never need to worry about clean clothes. Erin and I stay rather removed from our guests other than to say "Hi!" We used to live in this house, but have since moved to Long Beach, a short trek down the pike. We''re close enough to handle any situation, of course, and we''re just a phone call away. We have a combination lock on the gate (you''ll get details after you book) that''ll allow you to arrive whenever you need to.
